he Avon Senior center provides programs and services for anyone age 55 and over in the City of Avon and surrounding communities. Activities and programming are designed to meet the growing needs of older adults in the area.

Scheduled events at the Center include Silver Sneakers classes, Tai Chi, computer classes, weekly card night, monthly social events, various day and overnight bus trips, support groups, volunteer opportunities, community involvement and out reach programs.

The Center holds a meeting the second Wednesday of every month at 10am to inform attendees about upcoming projects and events. Meetings include updates about city business from our City Council representatives and a guest speaker who provides education or entertainment. Speakers in the past have included Doug Dieken, Jack Marshall, Del Donahoo and many others.

The Avon Senior Center also provides transportation services to seniors and/or persons with disabilities who live in Avon. Folks needing transportation to medical appointments, shopping, Senior Care activities, etc. may contact Eileen Niedbalski, Transportation Scheduler, at 440-934-RIDE (7433). The Center is open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with occasional activities scheduled on weekends.
